“You can end this tenancy early, but only after month six, and you must give two months’ written notice.”
Why Explexa
Understanding first, then confidence
Most documents are not difficult because the idea is hard. They are difficult because nobody wrote them for the person who has to read them.
Plain language summaries
Every explanation starts with one short paragraph in ordinary words, so you know what a document is asking of you before you read further.
Three levels of detail
Move between Simple, Standard and Expert. The same document, explained at the depth that suits the moment.
Highlights what matters
Deadlines, amounts, conditions and defined terms are pulled out and marked, rather than left buried in the paragraph.
Suggested next steps
A short, practical list of what you could do next, framed as options to consider rather than instructions to follow.
“Explain it” demo
Try it on a real piece of paperwork
Pick one of the three sample documents or paste your own text, then move between Simple, Standard and Expert to see the same content explained at different depths.
1. Choose something to explain
Original wording
12.3 Break provision. The Tenant may determine this Agreement at any time after the sixth month of the Term by serving not less than two months' written notice on the Landlord, such notice to expire on the last day of a rental period, provided that the Tenant is not in arrears of Rent and has complied with all covenants herein. Any Rent paid in respect of a period beyond the effective date of determination shall be refunded within 28 days, less any sums lawfully deducted.
2. Pick your level of detail
Demonstration outputHow it works
Four steps, no jargon
Explexa is designed to be used in the middle of a busy day, by someone who wants an answer rather than a lesson.
1. Add the document
Paste the text or upload a letter, statement or agreement. You can send a single clause or the whole thing.
2. Explexa reads and structures it
The document is broken into what it says, what it requires, what it costs and what depends on you.
3. Choose your level
Simple for a quick answer, Standard for the reasoning, Expert for conditions, timings and edge cases.
4. Decide what to do
You get a short list of sensible next steps and the exact wording each one came from, so you can check it yourself.
Use cases
The paperwork people actually get stuck on
Explexa is built around the documents that arrive unannounced and need a decision sooner than you would like.
Tenancy and property paperwork
Break clauses, deposit terms, service charge schedules and the notice periods hidden inside them.
Bills and statements
Energy statements, bank charges and pension summaries, separated into fixed costs and the parts you can change.
Insurance and renewals
What changed since last year, what an excess actually means for you, and what is excluded.
Letters that worry people
Formal correspondence restated calmly, with the deadline and the required response made obvious.
Small business admin
Supplier terms, leases and policy documents explained quickly when there is no in-house team to ask.
Customer support teams
Consistent plain-language wording so every agent explains the same policy the same way.
Trust and privacy
Your documents are yours
People paste in the most sensitive paperwork they own. These are the principles Explexa is designed around.
No training on your data
Documents you submit are used to answer your question and nothing else. They would never form part of a training set.
Delete on demand
Remove a single document or clear everything at once, and the copy held for your account goes with it.
Clear sourcing
Every sentence in an explanation points back to the wording it came from, so you can check it rather than trust it.
Who this is for
Example scenarios
Illustrative situations written to show where Explexa would help. They are not descriptions of real people or customers.
Someone signing a tenancy
You have a fortnight to decide, a twelve-page agreement and no idea which clauses actually bind you.
A household checking a bill
The total went up, the reading was estimated, and the statement never explains which part changed.
A two-person business
A supplier has sent revised terms. There is no legal team, and the deadline is Friday.
A support team lead
Agents explain the same policy four different ways. You want one clear version everyone can use.
Pricing
Planned plans
Illustrative pricing for the concept. Nothing is on sale yet, and every tier is marked coming soon.
Free
For the occasional letter or clause.

About the name
Explexa joins explanation to complexity
Explexa is a coined name. It takes the opening of explain and the sound of complex, and puts them in that order on purpose: the explanation comes first, the complexity second. It is short enough to say once and remember, and it carries no meaning in any other field, which keeps it unmistakably a product name rather than a description.
The visual identity follows the same idea. A calm blue for steadiness, a single lime accent for the part you were looking for, and a document with a speech bubble, because everything here begins with a page that needs talking through.
